About Me

đź‘‹ Hi, I'm Matthew

I’m a developer who works primarily with Go, building backend services, automation tooling, and cloud‑ready applications. The majority of my work involves building and deploying cloud‑based web applications, using Go’s ecosystem to create modular, scalable systems — from structured package layouts and message‑driven components to concurrency patterns that keep things fast and predictable.

I deploy most of these applications on Google Cloud Platform, working with services like Cloud Run, Firestore, and Cloud SQL to build reliable, production‑ready systems. I’m comfortable designing data flows, shaping schemas, and integrating Go services with managed databases and event‑driven infrastructure.

I’m also always exploring new technologies and approaches — whether that’s experimenting with AI‑powered tooling, trying out emerging cloud patterns, or learning new ways to streamline development workflows. Staying curious helps me adapt to tools that make modern software development more capable and efficient.

I spend time refining the tooling around my projects too: improving CI pipelines, tightening automation, and making sure the development workflow stays smooth as the codebase grows. I’m drawn to systems that evolve — adding new capabilities, reorganising internals, and improving the cloud architecture that supports them.
